Hello dear reader again, today we are going to review a little about what we have studied in class, only it will be through the presentations of our classmates. First in our class on Tuesday we had a small dynamic with our teacher. Which helped us a lot to understand the methods that we have studied with him in this registrer. You can watch the next video about our dynamic. Now, let's start with the topics. As the first group with the topic The Grammar Translation. They explained a little about the topic, in which the student learns about the grammatical rules of the language he wants to learn through his native language. Then our group talked about TPR (Total Physical Response). In which we mention that James Asher is considered the father or founder of this method. This method is used to teach children to adults about a foreign language and it is done through movements. For example, we as a group did the dynamic of teaching the parts of the body with the classic game of "Sim...

Hello again dear reader, today we will learn about a new method in teaching a foreign language. Today in our class we talked about The Silent Way Method, first let's see where this method originated. The Silent Way was founded in the early 1970s by the Egyptian mathematician and educator Caleb Gattegno. It is based on the idea that language is learned in three main ways: discovery rather than teaching; problem-solving in the target language; the use of physical tools. MAIN PRINCIPLES ●Start with familiar sounds. ●Give help only if absolutely necessary. Allow students to use   their own Knowledge of language learning. ●Student attention to the teacher is important. ●Errors are important and necessary for learning. Then in groups we translated two documents, one from Spanish to English and the other from English to Spanish. I honestly felt that it was a bit difficult for me because there were words that I did not know how to translate, that is, I was not clear about their...

Hello dear reader, how are you? Today we come with a new topic.✨️馃摎 Today we will learn about Grammar Translation Method. I took the time to research more on the subject and I found on the website who created this method and it was Johann Heinrich Philipp Seidenst眉cker, this method. This method emerged in Prussia at the end of the 18th century, as the teaching of Latin and Greek. The purpose of this method is to help the student who wants to learn a second language to understand and be able to read the language's own literature. This method is used to improve the intellectual growth of students who want to learn English as a second language. How to apply this method? First, the student is told to read a text of the language she is learning, then the teacher tells her to translate some lines from the exro and finally the teacher gives vocabulary to the student regarding the text. Learning is based on performing exercises related to grammar and vocabulary and translation activities...

Hello dear reader, today we will continue talking about the direct method in teaching foreign languages. As we studied in the last two classes, the direct method can be used in teaching through objects, mime, visual elements, etc. The direct method has been the response to the Grammar-Translation method, it laid the foundations for the later didactic theory of language teaching. This method is used in teaching the English language. We also studied a little about the history of teaching English as a foreign language in which we were also able to learn about the importance of Latin and Greek. Below you can see a little of what this week's classes were like. Don't miss my blog so that together we learn more and can teach children and adults in the future. See you soon!☺️馃摎 Thank you for visit my blog :)
