Week May 21馃巰
Hello everyone, welcome again to my blog馃挮馃巰
Today we can start with our oral presentationsWell the first group talked about the grammar on the basic level.
But what is grammar?馃
Grammar is the way we arrange words to make proper sentences. Word-level grammar covers verbs and tenses, nouns, adverbs etc. Sentence-level grammar covers phrases, clauses, reported speech etc.
Parts of the speech馃摑
Verbs and Verb tenses馃搶
Action verbs, express what is happening (do, work). State verbs express a situation (be, have).
Nouns馃搶
Nouns represent people (teacher, Mary), places (town, Asia) and things (table, music).
Adjectives馃搶
An adjective is a word that tells us more about a noun (big, red, expensive).
Adverbs馃搶
Adverbs tell us more about verbs, adjectives or adverbs (loudly, really, extremely).
Determiners馃搶
Determiners are words like the, an, this that start a noun phrase.
Prepositions馃搶
A preposition expresses the relationship of a noun or pronoun to another word (at, in, from).
Pronouns馃搶
Pronouns are small words like you, ours, some that can take the place of a noun.
Conjunctions馃搶
Conjunctions join two parts of a sentence (and, but, though).
Interjections馃搶
Short exclamations with no real grammatical value (ah, dear, er)
The Second Group talked about the vocabulary on the intermediate level
But what is learning vocabulary?
Vocabulary learning is the process acquiring building blocks in the second language.
Vocabulary learning goals help in deciding the kind of language to be learnt and taught.
The third group, talked about the pronunciation on the advanced level.
What is pronunciation?
Pronunciation, from the Latin pronuntiatio, is the action and effect of pronouncing (articulating and making sounds to speak; highlighting; resolving; declaring for or against something or someone). The concept is used to name the way or manner in which words are expressed.
Pronunciation in English is a fundamental aspect to achieve clear and effective communication in this language.
I want to share with you some tipo that I found.
1. Listen carefully馃挮
The key to improving pronunciation is to listen to a lot of authentic English. Spend time watching movies, series, television shows and listening to music in English.
2. Practice with native speakers馃挮
If you have the chance, practice with native speakers or join English conversation groups. Listening and talking to people who have native pronunciation will help you adopt more accurate sound patterns.
3. Use online resources馃挮
There are numerous online resources that offer English pronunciation exercises and practice. Apps, videos and websites let you practice pronouncing words and phrases interactively.
4. Record your voice馃挮
Record your own conversations or readings in English and listen to them later. This will allow you to identify areas for improvement and work on perfecting your pronunciation.
5. Do diction exercises馃挮
Diction exercises such as vocalization, jaw exercises, and lip exercises can help you improve your articulation of sounds in English.
6. Be patient and perseverant馃挮
Improving pronunciation takes time and constant practice. Don't be discouraged if you don't see immediate results. Perseverance and patience are key to achieving clear and precise pronunciation.
And the last group talked about listening comprehesion on level advanced
Listening comprehension馃摎馃巰 encompasses the multiple processes involved in understanding and making sense of spoken language. These include recognizing speech sounds, understanding the meaning of individual words, and/or understanding the syntax of sentences in which they are presented.
Also in our class we learn about teaching pronunciation with Jazz馃幏
Jazz chants can also be the effective ways to teach English speaking for young learners, because jazz chant is simple. Jazz chant deals with the natural language, no special skill is needed in jazz chants. The students just learn about how to pronounce some
